Title : Introduction to Neuromorphic Synapses via CBRAM

Speaker : Sindhur Joshi

Date : 19/1/2024, Friday

Time : 05:00 PM

Venue : Physics Seminar Hall

Abstract :  In the ever-evolving world of computing, the buzz around neuromorphic computing is gaining traction, drawing inspiration from the adaptability of the human brain This presentation aims to simplify complex concepts for a basic understanding, starting with an introduction to neurons, highlighting the vital role of synapses, and emphasizing the significance of neuromorphic systems The talk also touches on ongoing research, providing a glimpse into the exciting advancements in the field Additionally, it sheds light on Conductive Bridging Random Access Memory (CBRAM) a memory device that mirrors the collaborative efficiency seen in synapses The discussion intends to explore the potential of mimicking synapse functionality using CBRAM and chalcogenide materials.
